Got a creative business and need help? Wanna start one? Read on!

Yo! I’m Emma – the Founder and Owner of Black Chalk Collective (BCC), a calligraphy and hand lettering business in Melbourne, Australia. BCC was established in December 2015, and in just over 18 months I had attracted 80,000 social media followers, and running this show became my full-time gig.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Business majoring in Management, which I earned part-time while working full-time AND running my own biz – so I know all about the juggle struggle. Prior to jumping into BCC full-time, I worked for 8 years in the corporate world in Human Resources departments and providing executive level support to COOs, CEOs, Managing Directors, Presidents and Boards – experiencing first hand what it takes to run and grow a business. Before that, I worked for various small businesses (including washing cars at a car yard and grooming dogs, yup!) where I developed a deep love and respect for small biz.

If you’ve started your creative business and aren’t sure where to turn for advice – look no further! Please check out the below blog posts, and if your question hasn’t been answered yet, please feel free to get in touch.

I also offer one-on-one consultation to help other small creative business owners grow their dream into a reality, and I’d love to help you.
